To apply, under the medicare prospective payment program, the area wage factor
for Shelby County, Tennessee, to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in
Jackson, Tennessee.
  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
  States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. MEDICARE AREA WAGE FACTOR TO BE APPLIED TO JACKSON-MADISON COUNTY
GENERAL HOSPITAL.
  Effective for discharges occurring on or after October 1, 1989, the area
  wage factor to be applied to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in
  Jackson, Tennessee under section 1886(d) of the Social Security Act is
  the area wage factor for Shelby County, Tennessee.
