To reduce temporarily the column 2 rate of duty on certain machine tools for planing, gear cutting, gear grinding, or gear finishing.

Amends the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States to reduce the column 2 rate of duty, through December 31, 1992, on certain machine tools for planing, gear cutting, gear grinding, or gear finishing.

To reduce temporarily the column 2 rate of duty on certain machine tools
for planing, gear cutting, gear grinding, or gear finishing.
  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
  States of America in Congress assembled,
That subchapter II of chapter 99 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the
United States is amended by inserting in numerical sequence the following
new subheadings:

  SEC. 2. The amendment made by the first section of this Act applies with
