Amends the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States to suspend, through December 31, 1994, the duty on manmade or recomposed wood veneer.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That subchapter II of chapter 99 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States is amended by inserting in numerical sequence the following new heading: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ` 9902.44.21 Manmade or recomposed wood veneer (provided for in subheading 4421.90.90 Free No change No change On or before 12/31/94 '. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEC. 2. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), the amendment made by this Act shall apply with respect to articles entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, after the 15th day after the date of enactment of this Act. (b) Notwithstanding section 514 of the Tariff Act of 1930 or any other provision of law, upon request filed with the appropriate customs officer before the 90th day after the date of enactment of this Act, the entry of-- (1) any article that was entered-- (A) after December 31, 1988, and (B) on or before the 15th day after the date of the enactment of this Act, and is described in heading 9902.44.21 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (as added by this Act); or (2) any article that was entered-- (A) after December 31, 1980, and (B) on or before December 31, 1988, and would have been described in such heading 9902.44.21 if that heading had been in effect at the time of entry; shall be liquidated or reliquidated as though such entry occurred on the day after the 15th day after the date of enactment of this Act.
