Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the President may award to Richard F. Walsh of Quincy, Massachusetts (Social Security Number 000-00-7273), the military decorations known as-- (1) the Distinguished Flying Cross, for his act of heroism while a member of the 530th Bombardment Squadron of the Army Air Force during the return from a bombing mission on April 30, 1944, which allowed the safe return of his B-24 bomber and its crew, and (2) the Purple Heart, for injuries received while a member of such squadron during a bombing mission on July 4, 1944.
