IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AUGUST 3, 1989 Mr. HILER submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on House Administration RESOLUTION Prohibiting use of the official expenses allowance of Members of the House of Representatives for purchase of mailing lists. Resolved, SECTION 1. PROHIBITION OF USE OF THE OFFICIAL EXPENSES ALLOWANCE FOR PURCHASE OF MAILING LISTS. The official expenses allowance of each Member of the House of Representatives shall not be available for purchase of mailing lists. SEC. 2. DEFINITION. As used in this resolution, the term `Member of the House of Representatives' means a Representative in, or a Delegate or Resident Commissioner to, the Congress.
