Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. LINEAR ALKYLBENZENE SULFONIC ACID. Chapter 34 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (19 U.S.C. 3007) is amended by striking subheading 3402.11.10 and inserting in numerical sequence the following superior heading and new subheadings, with the article description for the new subheadings having the same degree of indentation as the article description in subheading 3402.13.20: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ` Aromatic or modified aromatic: 3402.11.15 Linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid 3.7/kg+15.9% Free (E,IL) 1.4/kg+6.3% (CA) 15.4/kg+51% 3402.11.20 Other 7.2% Free (A,E,IL) 2.8% (CA) 15.4/kg+53.5% '. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEC. 2. STAGED RATE REDUCTIONS. Any staged rate reduction of a rate of duty set forth in subheading 3402.11.10 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States that was proclaimed by the President before the date of enactment of this Act and that takes effect after the date of enactment of this Act shall apply to the corresponding rates of duty in subheadings 3402.11.15 and 3402.11.20 (as added by section 1). SEC. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. The amendment made by this Act shall apply with respect to goods entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after the date that is 15 days after the date of enactment of this Act.
