IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES May 23, 1991 Mr. HOCHBRUECKNER introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Public Works and Transportation A BILL To authorize the Secretary of the Army to conduct a study of the feasibility of modifying the project for navigation located at Lake Montauk Harbor, New York, for the purpose of making navigation improvements to that project. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. LAKE MONTAUK HARBOR, NEW YORK. (a) STUDY- The Secretary of the Army is authorized to conduct a study of the feasibility of modifying the project for navigation located at Lake Montauk Harbor, New York, authorized by section 2 of the River and Harbor Act of 1945 (59 Stat. 13), for the purpose of making navigation improvements to such project. (b) REPORT- Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall transmit to Congress a report on the results of the study conducted pursuant to subsection (a). (c) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS- There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section $400,000. Such sums shall remain available until expended.
