A BILL
To amend the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and Management Act to make
North Carolina a member of the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. MEMBERSHIP OF NORTH CAROLINA ON MID-ATLANTIC FISHERY
MANAGEMENT COUNCIL.
Section 302(a)(2) of the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and
Management Act (16 U.S.C. 1852(a)(2)) is amended by--
(1) striking ``and Virginia'' and inserting ``, Virginia,
and North Carolina'';
(2) inserting ``other than North Carolina'' after ``seaward
of such States'';
(3) striking ``19'' and inserting ``22''; and
(4) striking ``12'' and inserting ``14''.
