A BILL
To require the Secretary of Agriculture to issue regulations for the
purchase and eradication of swine infected with or exposed to
brucellosis.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. PURCHASE AND ERADICATION OF SWINE INFECTED WITH BRUCELLOSIS.
(a) Regulations Required.--Not later than 30 days after the date of
the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Agriculture shall issue
regulations that authorize the Secretary to purchase and eradicate, in
accordance with section 11 of the Act of May 29, 1884 (21 U.S.C. 114a),
swine infected with or exposed to brucellosis.
(b) Implementation.--Section 102 of the Food Security Act of 1985
(Public Law 99-198; 99 Stat. 1366; 7 U.S.C. 1446 note) shall apply to
the issuance of regulations under subsection (a).
