A BILL
For the relief of Jack Ellsworth.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. PAYMENT OF CLAIM.
The Secretary of the Treasury shall pay, out of any money in the
Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Jack Ellsworth of Patchogue,
New York, the sum of $100,000, to compensate Jack Ellsworth regarding a
lease agreement he signed with the National Park Service in
anticipation of receiving a radio broadcasting license that was later
awarded to another entity by the Federal Communications Commission. The
payment required by this section shall be in full satisfaction of any
claim Jack Ellsworth or the Long Island Music Broadcasting Corporation
may have against the United States, or any agent or agency of the
United States, in connection with the lease agreement or the radio
broadcasting license referred to in this section.
SEC. 2. LIMITATION ON AGENT AND ATTORNEY FEES.
It shall be unlawful for an amount exceeding 10 percent of the
payment required by section 1 to be paid to or received by any agent or
attorney for any service rendered in connection with the payment. Any
person who violates this section shall be guilty of an infraction and
shall be subject to a fine in the amount provided in title 18, United
States Code.
