A BILL
To prohibit the use of funds for the construction or operation of the
National Ignition Facility or any other facility that uses inertial
confinement fusion at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory,
California.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. PROHIBITION ON USING FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OR OPERATION
OF NATIONAL IGNITION FACILITY.
During fiscal year 1997 and thereafter, no funds appropriated or
made available to the Secretary of Energy may be used for the
construction or operation of the National Ignition Facility or any
other facility that uses inertial confinement fusion at the Lawrence
Livermore National Laboratory, California.
