Mr. Kennedy of Massachusetts submitted the following resolution; which
was referred to the Committee on Rules

RESOLUTION
Providing for the consideration of the bill (H.R. 2409) to increase the
public debt limit.
Resolved, That upon the adoption of this resolution it shall be in
order to consider the bill (H.R. 2409) to increase the public debt
limit in the House, and all points of order against the bill and
against its consideration are waived. Debate on the bill shall continue
not to exceed one hour, to be equally divided and controlled by the
chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on Ways and
Means, and the previous question shall be considered as ordered on the
bill to final passage without intervening motion except one motion to
recommit.
