To suspend temporarily the duty on myristic acid (tetrabecanoic acid).

Amends the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States to suspend, through December 31, 2002, the duty on myristic acid (tetrabecanoic acid), used as an imaging custom chemical.

 To suspend temporarily the duty on myristic acid (tetrabecanoic acid).

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF DUTY.

    (a) In General.--Subchapter II of chapter 99 of the Harmonized 
Tariff Schedule of the United States is amended by inserting in 
numerical sequence the following new heading:
      

``    9902.29.02    Myristic acid     Free              Free              No change         On or before 12/
                     (tetrabecanoic                                                          31/2002          ''

    (b) Effective Date.--The amendment made by subsection (a) applies 
with respect to goods entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for 
consumption, on or after the 15th day after the date of the enactment 
of this Act.
