Mr. Abraham introduced the following bill; which was read twice and
referred to the Committee on Environment and Public Works

A BILL
To modify the River and Harbor Act of 1886 to authorize Corps of
Engineer authority over an extended portion of the Clinton River.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
(a) Clinton River Michigan.--The Clinton River, Michigan,
navigation project, authorized by the River and Harbor Act of 1886, is
modified to extend the eight (8) foot deep, fifty (50) foot wide
navigation channel approximately two miles upstream from the Cass
Avenue bridge to the Gratiot Avenue bridge.
