Mr. Dooley of California (for himself and Mr. Radanovich) introduced
the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Small
Business

A BILL
To allow certain interagency task forces established by the President
to designate certain areas as HUBZones for purposes of the Small
Business Act.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. DESIGNATION OF HUBZONES BY CERTAIN FEDERAL TASK FORCES.
Section 3(p)(1) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 632(p)(1)) is
amended--
(1) in subparagraph (C) by striking ``or'';
(2) in subparagraph (D) by striking the period at the end
and inserting ``; or''; and
(3) by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:
``(E) areas that are within the geographic
jurisdiction of, and are designated as HUBZones by--
``(i) the Interagency Task Force on the
Economic Development of the Central San Joaquin
Valley (established by Executive Order 13173
(65 Fed. Reg. 64579));
``(ii) the Interagency Task Force on the
Economic Development of the Southwest Border
(established by Executive Order 13122 (42
U.S.C. 3121 note)); or
``(iii) any interagency task force
established by an Executive order of the
President and identified therein as having
authority to designate HUBZones for the
purposes of this Act.''.
