A bill to authorize a project for navigation, Chickamauga Lock and Dam, Tennessee.

Authorizes the Secretary of the Army to carry out the Chickamauga Lock and Dam navigation project in Tennessee substantially in accordance with the plans and conditions described in the Report of the Chief of Engineers dated May 30, 2002. Requires 50 percent of the Project's construction costs to be paid from the general fund of the Treasury and 50 percent to be paid from the Inland Waterways Trust Fund.

   To authorize a project for navigation, Chickamauga Lock and Dam, 
                               Tennessee.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. CHICKAMAUGA LOCK AND DAM, TENNESSEE.

    (a) In General.--The project for navigation, Chickamauga Lock and 
Dam, Tennessee, is authorized to be carried out by the Secretary of the 
Army substantially in accordance with the plans, and subject to the 
conditions, described in the Report of the Chief of Engineers dated May 
30, 2002, at a total cost of up to $239,400,000.
    (b) Construction.--Of the costs of construction of the project 
described in subsection (a)--
            (1) 50 percent shall be paid from amounts appropriated from 
        the general fund of the Treasury; and
            (2) 50 percent shall be paid from amounts appropriated from 
        the Inland Waterways Trust Fund.
