A BILL
To amend title 44, United States Code, to make Government information
security reform permanent, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. PERMANENT GOVERNMENT INFORMATION SECURITY REFORM.
(a) Repeal of Expiration of Authority.--Section 3536 of title 44,
United States Code, is repealed.
(b) Clerical Amendment.--The table of sections at the beginning of
chapter 35 of such title is amended by striking the item relating to
section 3536.
SEC. 2. DESIGNATION OF LAW AS GOVERNMENT INFORMATION SECURITY REFORM
ACT.
Subtitle G of title X of the Floyd D. Spence National Defense
Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2001 (as enacted into law by Public
Law 106-398; 114 Stat. 1654A-266) is amended by inserting after the
heading for the subtitle the following new section:
``SEC. 1060. SHORT TITLE.
``This subtitle may be cited as the `Government Information
Security Reform Act'.''.
