Mr. Smith of New Hampshire submitted the following resolution; which
was referred to the Committee on Foreign Relations

RESOLUTION
Expressing the sense of the Senate that the Secretary of State should
redesignate the Palestine Liberation Organization as a terrorist
organization, and for other purposes.
Resolved,
SECTION 1. SENSE OF THE SENATE REGARDING THE PALESTINE LIBERATION
ORGANIZATION.
(a) Redesignation.--It is the sense of the Senate that the
Secretary of State should redesignate the Palestine Liberation
Organization as a terrorist organization for purposes of United States
laws containing prohibitions and restrictions on those organizations.
(b) Prohibition on Funding of the Palestinian Authority.--It is the
sense of the Senate that the Palestinian Authority, working on behalf
of the Palestine Liberation Organization, should not receive any
Federal funds.
