A BILL
To prohibit, through the period ending on December 31, 2007, any
Department of Defense participation in any international aviation trade
exhibition (known as an ``air show'') to be held in France.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. PROHIBITION ON THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE PARTICIPATION IN
AIR SHOWS IN FRANCE THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2007.
(a) Prohibition.--During the period beginning on the date of the
enactment of this Act and ending on December 31, 2007, the Secretary of
Defense may not authorize or permit participation in any form by any
element of the Department of Defense in any international aviation
trade exhibition (known as an ``air show'') to be held in France.
(b) Inclusion of Support for Contractors.--The prohibition in
subsection (a) includes support in any form to any defense contractor,
industrial association, or other entity that is participating in any
such international aviation trade exhibition.
