A BILL
To amend title 23, United States Code, to provide an exemption from
Interstate System weight limitations for milk hauling vehicles in the
State of Connecticut.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. EXEMPTION FROM INTERSTATE SYSTEM WEIGHT LIMITATIONS FOR MILK
HAULING VEHICLES IN CONNECTICUT.
Section 127(a) of title 23, United States Code, is amended by
adding at the end the following: ``The State of Connecticut may allow,
by special permit, on Interstate System highways in the State the
operation of vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 99,000
pounds for the hauling of milk in liquid form.''.
