A BILL
To amend the Hmong Veterans' Naturalization Act of 2000 to extend the
deadlines for application and payment of fees.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Bruce Vento Hmong Veterans'
Naturalization Act of 2003''.
SEC. 2. EXTENSION OF DEADLINES.
Section 6 of the Hmong Veterans' Naturalization Act of 2000 (8
U.S.C. 1423 note) (as amended by section 112 of Public Law 107-77 (115
Stat. 765)) is amended--
(1) by striking ``36 months after the date of the enactment
of this Act'' and inserting ``18 months after the date of the
enactment of the Bruce Vento Hmong Veterans' Naturalization Act
of 2003''; and
(2) by striking ``36 months after the date of the enactment
of this sentence'' and inserting ``18 months after the date of
the enactment of the Bruce Vento Hmong Veterans' Naturalization
Act of 2003''.
