a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence or drug
trafficking crime.

Mrs. Kelly introduced the following bill; which was referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary

A BILL
To amend title 18, United States Code, to increase the mandatory
minimum penalties provided for possessing, brandishing, or discharging
a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence or drug
trafficking crime.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. INCREASE IN THE MANDATORY MINIMUM PENALTIES PROVIDED FOR
POSSESSING, BRANDISHING, OR DISCHARGING A FIREARM DURING
AND IN RELATION TO A CRIME OF VIOLENCE OR DRUG
TRAFFICKING CRIME.
Section 924(c)(1)(A) of title 18, United States Code, is amended--
(1) in clause (i), by striking ``5'' and inserting ``10'';
(2) in clause (ii), by striking ``7'' and inserting ``15'';
and
(3) in clause (iii), by striking ``10'' and inserting
``20''.
