Amends the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services (CHAMPUS) to prohibit the prescription drug cost-sharing requirements for Medicare-eligible beneficiaries under CHAMPUS from being in excess of the cost-sharing requirements applicable to all other CHAMPUS health care beneficiaries.

A BILL
To amend title 10, United States Code, relating to prescription drug
benefits for Medicare-eligible enrollees under defense health care
plans.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. REQUIREMENT RELATING TO PRESCRIPTION DRUG BENEFITS FOR
MEDICARE-ELIGIBLE ENROLLEES UNDER DEFENSE HEALTH CARE
PLANS.
Section 1074g(a)(6) of title 10, United States Code, is amended--
(1) by inserting ``(A)'' after ``(6)''; and
(2) by adding at the end the following:
``(B) For a medicare-eligible beneficiary, the cost-sharing
requirements may not be in excess of the cost-sharing
requirements applicable to all other beneficiaries covered by
section 1086 of this title. For purposes of the preceding
sentence, a medicare-eligible beneficiary is a beneficiary
eligible for health benefits under section 1086 of this title
pursuant to subsection (d)(2) of such section.''.
