A BILL
Making emergency supplemental appropriations for the Department of
Veterans Affairs for fiscal year 2005 for veterans medical services.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
That the following sums are appropriated, out of any money in the
Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for fiscal year 2005:
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS
Veterans Health Administration
medical services
For an additional amount for ``Medical Services'', $1,000,000,000,
to remain available until September 30, 2006: Provided, That the amount
provided under this heading is designated as an emergency requirement
pursuant to section 402 of H. Con. Res. 95 (109th Congress), the
concurrent resolution on the budget for the fiscal year 2006: Provided
further, That amounts made available under this heading may be
transferred to other accounts of the Department of Veterans Affairs to
the extent necessary to reimburse those accounts for prior transfers to
``Medical Services'' after notice of the amount and purpose of the
transfer is provided to the Committees on Appropriations of the Senate
and House of Representatives and a period of 30 days has elapsed:
Provided further, That the transfer authority in this paragraph is in
addition to any other transfer authority available to the Department of
Veterans Affairs.
