resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Rules

RESOLUTION
Amending the Rules of the House of Representatives to prohibit
privately-funded travel by any Member, Delegate, Resident Commissioner,
officer, or employee of the House.
Resolved, Clause 5 of rule XXV of the Rules of the House of
Representatives is amended by adding at the end the following:
``(g) Notwithstanding any other provision of this clause, no
Member, Delegate, Resident Commissioner, officer, or employee of the
House may accept a gift of travel (including any transportation,
lodging, and meals during such travel) from any private source.''.
