Rural Veteran Access to Care Act

Rural Veteran Access to Care Act - Provides for the reimbursement of the travel expenses a veteran with a service-connected disability incurs for the examination, treatment, or care for which the veteran is eligible. (Currently, that disability must be rated at 30% or more, unless the travel is in connection with the treatment or care of the disability or the veteran qualifies for such reimbursement on other grounds.)

   To amend title 38, United States Code, to improve the beneficiary 
         travel program of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Rural Veteran Access to Care Act''.

SEC. 2. EXPANSION OF BENEFICIARY TRAVEL PROGRAM.

    Section 111(b)(1)(B) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by 
striking ``rated at 30 percent or more''.
