Iran Ballistic Missile Reporting Act of 2017
This bill amends the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 to extend through December 31, 2022, requirements for quarterly reports by: (1) the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on confirmed ballistic missile launches by Iran, and (2) the Departments of State and the Treasury on any efforts to impose unilateral or multilateral sanctions against the appropriate entities or individuals in connection with such a launch.

Foreign Affairs, for a period to be subsequently determined by the
Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall
within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

A BILL
To extend quarterly reports on confirmed ballistic missile launches
from Iran and imposition of sanctions in connection with those
launches.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Iran Ballistic Missile Reporting Act
of 2017''.
SEC. 2. FINDINGS.
Congress finds the following:
(1) Iran continues to test ballistic missile technology
notwithstanding the restrictions imposed under United Nations
Security Council Resolution 2231 (2015).
(2) On January 29, 2017, Iran tested the medium-range
Khorramshahr ballistic missile that flew 600 miles before
exploding, in a failed test of a reentry vehicle.
(3) According to press reports, in March 2017 Iran tested
two short-range Fateh 110 ballistic missiles.
(4) Iran has inscribed anti-Israel propaganda on its
missiles, including ``Israel should be wiped off the Earth''.
SEC. 3. EXTENSION OF QUARTERLY REPORTS ON CONFIRMED BALLISTIC MISSILE
LAUNCHES FROM IRAN AND IMPOSITION OF SANCTIONS IN
CONNECTION WITH THOSE LAUNCHES.
Section 1226(e) of the National Defense Authorization Act for
Fiscal Year 2017 (Public Law 114-328) is amended by striking ``December
31, 2019'' and inserting ``December 31, 2022''.
