A BILL
To prohibit the Secretary of the Treasury from using facial recognition
technology to access any Internal Revenue Service online account.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Facial Authorization Cannot be
Enforced Act'' or the ``FACE Act''.
SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON FACIAL RECOGNITION FOR ACCESS TO INTERNAL
REVENUE SERVICE ACCOUNTS.
The Secretary of the Treasury may not establish or maintain any
verification process for access to an Internal Revenue Service online
account using facial recognition technology.
