IHS Contract Support Cost Amendment Act
This bill allows tribes to receive contract support costs for activities that would otherwise be carried out by the Department of the Interior or the Department of Health and Human Services for direct operation of a program, but for which the costs are not fully covered by the amount of funds required by the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act of 1975.

A BILL
To amend the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act to
secure existing Tribal contract support cost reimbursements, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``IHS Contract Support Cost Amendment
Act''.
SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS TO THE INDIAN SELF-DETERMINATION AND EDUCATION
ASSISTANCE ACT.
Section 106(a) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education
Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 5325(a)) is amended--
(1) in paragraph (2)--
(A) by striking ``but which'' and inserting
``including activities that'';
(B) in subparagraph (A)--
(i) by striking ``respective'';
(ii) by striking ``his'' and inserting
``the Secretary's''; and
(iii) by striking ``or'';
(C) in subparagraph (B), by striking the period and
inserting ``; or''; and
(D) by adding at the end the following:
``(C) would otherwise be carried out by the
Secretary in support of the Secretary's direct
operation of the program, but for which the costs are
not fully covered by the amount of funds required under
paragraph (1).''; and
(2) in paragraph (3)(A), by inserting ``amounts'' after
``duplicate any funding''.
