A BILL
To require the United States Postal Service to conduct a new
environmental impact statement with respect to procuring next
generation delivery vehicles, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Ensuring an Accurate Postal Fleet
Electrification Act''.
SEC. 2. USPS ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT ON PROCUREMENT OF NEXT
GENERATION DELIVERY VEHICLES.
(a) Limitation.--The final environmental impact statement issued by
the United States Postal Service entitled ``Final Environmental Impact
Statement for Purchase of Next Generation Delivery Vehicles'' in
December 2021 shall have no force or effect.
(b) Procuring New Fleet.--The United States Postal Service may not
procure any delivery vehicle under the contract entered into in
February 2021 between the Postal Service and Oshkosh Defense until the
Postal Service issues a revised final environmental impact statement in
accordance with section 102(2)(C) of the National Environmental Policy
Act of 1969 (42 U.S.C. 4332(2)(C)).
