A BILL
To amend title 38, United States Code, to increase the monthly housing
stipend under the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance Program for
individuals who pursue programs of education solely through distance
learning on more than a half-time basis.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Parity for Online Student Veterans
Act''.
SEC. 2. INCREASE OF MONTHLY HOUSING STIPEND UNDER THE POST-9/11
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO PURSUE
PROGRAMS OF EDUCATION SOLELY THROUGH DISTANCE LEARNING ON
MORE THAN A HALF-TIME BASIS.
(a) In General.--Section 3313(c)(1)(B)(iii) of title 38, United
States Code, is amended by striking ``50 percent of''.
(b) Effective Date.--The amendments made by subsection (a) shall
apply to a quarter, semester, or term beginning on or after January 1,
2023.
