Ms. DeGette) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the
Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committee on
Ways and Means, for a period to be subsequently determined by the
Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall
within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

A BILL
To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to extend the pass-
through period for certain devices.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Innovative Technologies Impacted by
COVID-19 Act''.
SEC. 2. EXTENDING PASS-THROUGH STATUS UNDER THE MEDICARE PROGRAM FOR
CERTAIN DEVICES.
Section 1833(t)(6) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C.
1395l(t)(6)) is amended by adding at the end the following new
subparagraph:
``(K) Pass-through extension for certain devices.--
In the case of a device with respect to which the pass-
through status under this paragraph would, but for
application of this subparagraph, end on December 31,
2022, such pass-through status shall be extended for
the 1-year period beginning on January 1, 2023.''.
