A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Council on Environmental Quality relating to "National Environmental Policy Act Implementing Regulations Revisions".

This joint resolution nullifies the final rule issued by the Council on Environmental Quality titled National Environmental Policy Act Implementing Regulations Revisions and published on April 20, 2022. The rule restores regulatory provisions issued under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) that were in effect before being modified in 2020 by the Update to the Regulations Implementing the Procedural Provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act rule.

  Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, 
      United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Council on 
 Environmental Quality relating to ``National Environmental Policy Act 
                 Implementing Regulations Revisions''.

    Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United 
States of America in Congress assembled, That Congress disapproves the 
rule submitted by the Council on Environmental Quality relating to 
``National Environmental Policy Act Implementing Regulations 
Revisions'' (87 Fed. Reg. 23453 (April 20, 2022)), and such rule shall 
have no force or effect.
                                 <all>
