Saving Taxpayers' Money and Paying America's Debt Act
This bill rescinds unobligated funds that were provided by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and requires the funds to be used for the sole purpose of deficit reduction. (The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 provided funding to address the impact of COVID-19 on the economy, public health, state and local governments, individuals, and businesses.)

A BILL
To rescind the unobligated balance of appropriations made by the
American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Saving Taxpayers' Money and Paying
America's Debt Act''.
SEC. 2. RESCISSION OF UNOBLIGATED AMOUNTS UNDER THE AMERICAN RESCUE
PLAN ACT.
On the date of enactment of this Act, the unobligated balance of
amounts made available by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Public
Law 117-2) are hereby rescinded and shall be deposited into the general
fund of the Treasury for the sole purpose of deficit reduction.
