A BILL
To amend subpart 2 of part B of title IV of the Social Security Act to
promote permanency for youth by strengthening support networks for
children, youth, and families at risk of entering the child welfare
system.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Legal Guardianship Inclusion Act''.
SEC. 2. SUPPLEMENTATION OF DEFINITIONS.
Section 431(a)(8) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 629a(a)(8))
is amended--
(1) by inserting ``and legal guardianships'' before ``out
of the foster care system''
(2) by inserting ``and legal guardianships'' before
``promote'';
(3) by striking ``process'' and inserting ``and legal
guardianship processes''; and
(4) by inserting ``and legal guardianships'' before the
period at the end.
