read twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

A BILL
To amend chapter 171 of title 28, United States Code, to prohibit the
President from seeking relief under that chapter.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``No Torts for Trump Act''.
SEC. 2. EXCEPTIONS TO FEDERAL TORT CLAIMS ACT.
(a) In General.--Section 2680 of title 28, United States Code, is
amended by adding at the end the following:
``(o) Any claim, without regard to when the act or omission giving
rise to the claim occurred, brought by--
``(1) the President; or
``(2) an individual who subsequently becomes President
while the claim is pending.''.
(b) Applicability.--The amendment made by subsection (a) shall
apply to any claim pending on, or brought on or after, the date of
enactment of this Act.
