A bill to amend section 601 of the Federal Aviation Act of 1958 to require filing of flight plans in connection with the operation of civil aircraft in air commerce.

Requires the pilot of any civil aircraft, each time such aircraft is operated in air commerce, to file a flight plan containing such information as the Secretary of Transportation may deem necessary to assure that emergency and rescue service can by provided promptly to any such aircraft which is lost or in distress.
