Provides for the elimination of the copyright expiration date of January 1, 1975, for a limited copyright in sound recordings for the purpose of protecting against unauthorized duplication and piracy of sound recordings.
Sets forth increased criminal penalties for piracy and counterfeiting of sound recordings, and for the knowing and fradulent transportation, sale, or receipt of phonograph records bearing forged or counterfeit labels.
