Establishes preferred status for public utilities with respect to bidding for lands to be leased within any geothermal resources area as designated under the provisions of the Geothermal Steam Act of 1970.
Provides that in leasing lands within any known geothermal resources area under this Act, bids shall be accepted only from public utility companies during the two-month period immediately following the offering of a parcel of land within any such area of leasing.
