A bill to amend chapter 34 of title 38, United States Code, to make eligible for educational assistance under such chapter certain persons who serve on active duty a total of more than 180 days in any calendar year.

Extends the definition of "eligible veteran," for purposes of educational assistance, to incude any member of the Army National Guard, Air National Guard, the Army Reserve, Naval Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, or Coast Guard Reserve who serves voluntarily on active duty for an aggregate period of more than one hundred and eighty days in any calendar year and who otherwise qualifies as an eligible veteran.
