Authorizes to be appropriated to the Department of the Interior for each fiscal year beginning after June 30, 1975, an amount equal to 70 percent of the gross receipts from duties collected under the customs laws on fishery products.
Directs the Secretary of Commerce, through the National Marine Fisheries Service, to utilize such funds to conduct consumer education programs and to promote the free flow of domestically processed fishery products into channels of commerce. Creates a purchasing reserve to be used to purchase fish products when there is a surplus of such items in the market.
