A bill to amend the National Housing Act to extend the time period during which certain homeowners may apply for compensation for defects under section 518(b) of such act.

Permits a homeowner whose mortgage is inspired under the provisions of the National Housing Act to apply for Federal compensation for defects in such home up to nineteen months (presently one year) after the issuance of such mortgage.
