A bill to amend title II of the Social Security Act to permit a State, under its section 218 agreement, to terminate social security coverage for State or local policemen or firemen (on at least 1 year's advance notice) without affecting the coverage of other public employees who may be members of the same coverage group (and to permit the reinstatement of coverage for such other employees in certain cases where the group's coverage has previously been terminated).
