Amends the Federal Meat Inspection Act to require that the package or container of any imported meat or meat product capable of use as human food be labeled in such a way as to inform consumers that such product was imported.
Requires that such products meet the same health standards as domestically produced meats. Requires testing of imported meat in the countries from which such meat is imported. Directs periodic testing of imported meat and meat products in the United States by the Department of Agriculture.
Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to prescribe such assessments and fees as he determines necessary to cover the Department's cost under this Act.
