A bill to amend the United States Housing Act of 1937 for the purpose of making improvements in the program authorized by section 8 of such Act.

Revises the lower-income housing assistance program of the United States Housing Act of 1937 to establish a task force to evaluate housing for the elderly and report to the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and to Congress on proposals for actions designed to improve such program. Requires the Secretary to submit periodical reports to Congress with respect to the operation of such program.

Requires the Secretary and the Secretary of Labor in establishing the wages prevailing in a locality in which a project is located, to require wages to reflect the actual wages being paid in the immediate area in which the project is located.
