A bill to amend the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to include ambulance, first-aid, and rescue squad members as public safety officers eligible to receive certain benefits, and for other purposes.

Extends death benefit coverage under title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to public safety officers, including ambulance, first-aid, or rescue squad members, who die as a result of medical conditions arising out of or exacerbated by official duties.
