Amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to require the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration's annual report to the President and Congress to include in its analysis of funded State programs a description of equipment costing $100,000 or more, and the current use status of such equipment.
Provides for reimbursement by a State planning agency to the Administration for the cost of such equipment which has not been placed in use one year after the date designated at purchase, or has not continued in use during its useful life.
Authorizes the Administrator of LEAA to require such agencies to put such equipment into use.
