Amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to include within the categories of deportable aliens an alien convicted of a crime of moral turpitude at any time after entry, regardless of whether imprisoned or not. States that such provision shall apply only to crimes committed after January 1, 1979.
Reduces from six months to one month the period in which: (1) the Attorney General must effectuate a final order of deportation; (2) an alien so ordered must leave the United States or be in violation of law; and (3) a petition for judicial review of a deportation order must be filed.
