Excludes from the creditable service of a Federal employee or a Member of Congress, for purposes of determining disability benefits under the civil service retirement system, any military service for which the individual receives military retirement benefits or veterans benefits, with specified exceptions. Requires the total retirement benefits provided to the individual to equal at least the smaller of: (1) 40 percent of the individual's average pay; or (2) the civil service retirement benefits the individual would receive if such military service were included as creditable service.
Requires the Secretary of Defense and the Administrator of Veterans Affairs to furnish the Director of the Office of Personnel Management with such information on military retirement benefits and veterans benefits as the Director may request in the administration of the civil service retirement system.
