Establishes the permanent boundary of Acadia National Park lying within the town of Isle au Haut, Maine.
Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to acquire lands within the boundary of the park by donation or exchange. Transfers the title to such lands within the town of Isle au Haut, which are outside the permanent boundary of the park as established by this Act and which are federally owned and under the jurisdiction of the Secretary, to such town without monetary consideration.
Authorizes the Secretary, with the concurrence of the selectmen of the town, to acquire by donation conservation easements on lands outside the permanent boundary of the park.
Requires the management and use of parklands on Isle au Haut to be consistent with the maintenance of a viable local community with a traditional resource-based economy.
